What is the initial investment?
In order to be considered booked, and your date blocked off, you will need to sign a personalized legal contract and pay a retainer equal to 50% of the total services. The remainder is due one month before the event date. Please note that we only book one event per day. We understand that investing in a vendor is not cheap and can be overwhelming, so it’s important that we know your budget to determine if K. Twyman Artistry is a good match for you. We also want to assure you that you are investing in a quality service by artist(s) that are trained in both artistry and sanitation and have several years of experience in the bridal industry.
Do you provide hair services?
My licensure in the state of Massachusetts strictly enables me to provide skin and makeup services ONLY; I do NOT provide hair services for weddings. Please consult with me to obtain a list of my recommended hair stylists in the area for your event! We do realize that many brides prefer a company that offers all services and I’m more than happy you connect you with a stylist that meets your needs.
Can I bring my own makeup?
For the safety and protection of you and the artist(s), we do not allow the use of personal cosmetics with the exception of lip color, which is recommended you bring to have for touch ups afterwards. This also allows me and any other artist on site to control the sanitation of all products used. If you have allergies or specific requirements, please inform us beforehand and we will make every attempt to accommodate all requests.
Are trials or gratuity included?
Bridal trials are now mandatory for all brides booking weddings. Trials are NOT included in your package and is booked separately. This is our chance to get to know each other better and perform a complete skin analysis. Gratuity is always appreciated, but not required or included.
What is your cancellation policy?
It depends on what you book for. Wedding cancelations are outlined in my contract, as well as rescheduling stipulations. Single client appointments that are NON BRIDAL require 48 hour notice, or are subject to 50% total service fees. No shows of any kind will be invoiced for the entire service fee. Travel fees will not be charged for any cancelation of any kind.
Is there a travel fee?
Events that require over 1.5 hours of travel one way, require mutually agreed upon accommodations for the night prior. Parking must be covered or validated for any and all makeup services. Travel fees are not considered a part of the event minimum, nor are they included in the pricing. An outline of travel fees will be provided during the inquiry and quote process
How do you sanitize?
All brushes, tools, and product are sprayed with a cosmetic disinfectant in between each use and client. All skincare tools are cleaned with a Barbicide disinfectant and home studio areas are wiped down with sanitizing spray after use including desk, chair(s), and all other surfaces.
